With trade wars making the news daily and as June 2019 marks the 30th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square Massacre in the People's Republic of China, Johns Creek City Council member Jay Lin will join us for a talk on how Chinese Americans are helping to influence and shape the Republican Party.

ABOUT JAY LIN: Jay Lin, a licensed general contractor, was elected to the City Council on Dec. 1 in a runoff election.
Lin moved to Johns Creek from Taiwan in 1999. He and his wife Mimi are owners of Pacific Ventures, a home and remodeling business specializing in sustainable design.
Lin serves as an advisory board member of Chinese American Entrepreneur Alliance, and is a board member of "Beyond Sunday,” a non-profit organization focus on marketplace ministry. He is a member of Iron Sharpens Iron, a marketplace discipleship program for senior executives. He also has been Johns Creek chapter president for Businessmen's Fellowship USA.
Lin, a member of Influencers Church in Duluth, has been involved in a number of faith-based organizations.
A Taiwanese native, he received a BA degree in 1986 in banking and insurance from Chun Yu Institute of Technology in Taiwan.
He is married to Mimi Lin, and has a son, Kevin, and a daughter, Katie.
