We will view a "Constitution Alive!" video about the Declaration of Independence, how it works with the Constitution and the key roles of religion, morality and liberty in shaping both the Declaration and the Constitution. We'll talk about what the Founders intended when they wrote "consent of the governed" in the Declaration and what that means for correctly operating representative government today. As we approach the 250th anniversary of the United States and the Declaration of Independence, this will provide a deeper understanding for all of us and equip us to educate our family, friends and neighbors.
